Sometimes we need more support to help us with our struggles.
If you’re affected by chronic psychological and emotional issues medication may be helpful.

Our nurse practitioners have the training and skills to assess you carefully to determine how deeply your mental, emotional or psychological health condition may be affecting your life. We can  prescribe medications that will help you keep your symptoms in check so that the life you live may be more manageable and healthy. Many individuals are able to be on medications for a limited amount of time. Others may be able to use a combination of holistic treatments with less medication for a more efficacious treatment of symptoms and eventual healing of the body and mind.

This process consists of gathering information about you, with the purpose of making a diagnosis. It is based on your specific needs as an individual and your desires as to the type of treatment you are interested in.

There are various ways a practitioner may draw conclusions for the best treatment, using combinations of techniques best suited for you. It is crucial that choosing the right medication and treatment plan is based on your individual needs. We also inform you of the action and effects of the medication being prescribed so you are more aware of what to expect. Sometimes, modification of prescribed medication is needed if side effects are too distressing or there is difficulty in taking the medication. Addressing these side effects with full empathic attention is our priority. Combining treatments as necessary are also a means of being as holistic with your treatment for the best possible outcome.
